It looks like "Material Girl" Madonna's humanitarian visit to the African country of Malawi in order to stop by the many schools that she has set up in the area did not end well for the pop star. Apparently, Malawi's first female president, Joyce Banda, did not appreciate the visit from the singer and has allegedly revoked her VIP status in the country. Though she has yet to officially state that she revoked the singer's privileges Banda was not afraid to speak her mind about what she did not enjoy about Madonna's visit.

Upon arriving in a Malawian airport to fly home on Saturday, Madonna, accompanied by her children and her staff, proceeded to the VIP section of the airport, only to be turned away and sent to the regular section. This meant that she had to go through lines, security ... basically everything you or I would be used to at airports. As soon as her private jet had gotten into the air, the President of Malawi, Joyce Banda, started to publicly criticize the pop star's trip to the country.

Banda stated:

"She just came unannounced and proceeded to villages and made poor people dance for her. And immigration officials opened the VIP lounge for her just because previously she enjoyed the VIP status."

She also added that she does not have the authority to ban Madonna from Malawi because "Malawi is a free nation." Despite Madonna's charity work with the nation of Malawi, officials of the country do not appreciate it. In the past, and clearly in the present, Madonna's charitable work gets criticized as publicity stunts.

Before leaving Malawi, Madonna scribbled a note on bright yellow stationary to Banda, asking for a meeting and misspelling words. It looks like the pop star would like to work out any problems the two might have in order to continue her work in Malawi.
