CM Punk reportedly had a major blowout with WWE chairman Vince McMahon backstage that got so heated that Punk threatened to quit the company, according to EWrestlingNews.com.

According to the site's sources within WWE, Punk was upset about the way the company supposedly lied to him about his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. He allegedly was fine with losing the match to the Deadman and extending his WrestleMania streak to 21-0, although Punk did not quite understand the logic behind it. The company allegedly told him up until WrestleMania itself that the creative plans were not set in stone.
When the "Best In The World" found out that the company had planned for The Undertaker to win the match all along, he was incensed and thought that McMahon and Triple H betrayed him and lied to him.
Punk then reportedly stated that WWE could swallow the rest of his contract and that he was done with them.
McMahon, of course, decided to address this issue and sat down with Punk to discuss the matter. Punk repeatedly asked McMahon why the wrestler had to threaten to quit just to get the boss' attention and eventually blew up completely.
Punk went on a tirade about wrestlers including Daniel Bryan, Antonio Cesaro and Kofi Kingston working hard for the company while WWE was more concerned with bringing in flashy names and writing ego-stroking storylines.
Another point of contention arose when Punk asked for time off to heal from his injuries sustained up to and during WrestleMania 29. McMahon tried to convince him to stick it out, but the two sides agreed on some time off.
Punk, McMahon, Paul Heyman and the WWE writers reportedly held a conference call several weeks ago to discuss possible upcoming storylines for the former WWE champion. The group discussed numerous ideas, all of which were contingent on Punk's health and McMahon's willingness to see them develop.
