Is Robert Pattinson preparing to dump his "Twilight" sweetheart Kristen Stewart in order to romance the couple's good friend, Katy Perry? Apparently that's the case, at least according to the National Enquirer. Just last month, R-Patz was spotted "cozying up" to the "Fireworks" songstress after the duo attended a Daughters concert in NYC with a group of pals. And those same friends allegedly think that Pattinson and Perry would make an awesome couple! Hard to believe, considering things seem to be going quite well between R-Patz and K-Stew...

As several fans probably remember, the Enquirer is the same tabloid that once claimed Stewart "hooked up" with Perry's assistant, Tamra Natisin (a female). The popular gossip outlet's known to sensationalize R-Patz and K-Stew relationship drama, so fans shouldn't be so quick to believe what they read.
Anyway, here's the latest regarding Perry's "crush" on Pattinson.
The Enquirer starts off by claiming that Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have "bonded over the fact that they've both been cheated on - and pals hope it's the beginning of a beautiful romance." In April, the friendly duo hit up New York's Bowery Ballroom with a group of pals to see the indie rock band Daughter in concert. After the show, alleged sources claim that "Rob reportedly took Katy to the Spot lounge at the Trump SoHo, and the pair stayed side by side for much of the night."
But the two were hanging out with a group of friends... so everyone was close...
Still, one insider insists that R-Patz has a "thing" for Perry... and it's more than just friendship. "[R-Patz] is drawn to Katy... When they're together, there is an obvious chemistry, and their shared heartbreak has made for a strong bond."
The source concludes with, "Everyone's hoping they become an item."
Despite the fact that R-Patz and K-Stew seem to be doing just fine after their temporary "trial seperation," several tabloids continue to stir relationship drama:
And there's plenty more where that came from here.
Gossip Cop got in touch with someone close to the sitch, who claims that this latest "Pattinson romancing Perry" report is simply "pathetic."
Do fans think R-Patz would ever leave K-Stew for John Mayer's ex?
