It's been almost 13 years since The Voice judge and pop star Christina Aguilera embraced her Latin roots with her Spanish-language album, but the singer has never let those roots go. Today (July 19), the music video premiered for her duet with Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez, "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti" (Translates to: "Today I Want You").

Fernandez and Aguilera recorded the Spanish-language song for the Mexican telenovela, La tempestad. The track tells the story of a man confessing his love to a woman he has known for a long time before she leaves. The original version of the song was recorded by Miguel Gallardo.
The video lives up to the dramatic nature of the song and the telenovela for which it was performed. Fernandez and Aguilera wander around a lush mansion, pining for a loved one. Large, ornate and empty rooms highlight the loneliness of the song, and the wistful looks seem straight out of Telemundo.
For her part, Aguilera appears in a busty black bra and matching skirt, peeking indoors from a balcony. Fully dressed, she takes to the stairs to finally longingly grasp Fernandez. Scenes between the two ignite with passion and color, creating a dramatic clip fitting for the song.

As mentioned, "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti" is not Aguilera's first turn at a Spanish song. In 2000, the singer released Mi Reflejo. For a throwback, listen to the Latin version of "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" below.
