Weiner said on Tuesday he will stay in the race despite admitting he sent newly revealed sexually explicit online chats and photos even after he resigned from Congress.

Now that former Congressman Anthony Weiner's latest sexually explicit photos and messages to 23-year-old Sydney Leathers have been made public, many are wondering what it means for Huma Abedin and the couple's marriage. After Weiner's racy online messages were revealed by the website "The Dirty" many questioned how Abedin could still be married to Weiner. The latest messages were supposedly sent months after Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 and the mayoral hopeful came clean about his original sexting scandal. However, Abedin finally talked publicly this past week and reaffirmed her support for Weiner and their marriage together. This doesn't mean though, that there wasn't a time when Hillary Clinton's former advisor wasn't considering divorcing Weiner and leaving the sexting congressman behind.

CNN is reporting that sources say Abedin considered leaving Weiner last fall after the former congressman admitted to sending more sexual messages online. Friends of Abedin's say that she was ready to leave. However, according to the CNN report, Abedin felt that taking their newborn son's father away wasn't what was best for their baby.

"What I want to say is, I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him, and as I have said from the beginning, we are moving forward," Abedin said during Tuesday's highly publicized press conference. "But I do very strongly believe that that is between us and our marriage," Abedin continued. "It was not an easy choice in any way, but I made the decision that it was worth staying in this marriage. That was a decision I made for me, for our son and for our family."

For now it seems divorce is not an option for Weiner and Abedin. However, Weiner has messed up twice now and you have to wonder if a third time would be the breaking point for Anthony Weiner's wife.
