Part of the mystery of American Horror Story: Coven has dealt with the identity of the new Supreme, the witch in each generation who basically has all the powers. Fiona (Jessica Lange) is the current Supreme, and she's doing all she can (like murdering people) to keep it that way.

But in the latest episode of Coven, "Burn, Witch. Burn," fans got some hints that Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) could be next in line. The latest "Ask Ausiello" column from TVLine adds some more credence to that theory and also offers some more spoilers for Wednesday's episode:

"Question: I'm just gonna go ahead and ask: Is Zoe the new supreme on American Horror Story: Coven? -Nidia

She certainly gives off some very Supreme-like vibes in this week's episode, much of which focuses on her uphill battle to resurrect Madison (hint: a Ouija Board is involved). The hour also exposes a surprising alliance and features a guest appearance by Pelant himself, Bones' Andrew Leeds."

Fiona killed Madison (Emma Roberts) a few episodes ago when she thought the sarcastic youngster was the new Supreme. But in last week's zombie-filled slaughterfest, Zoe developed a new power to apparently kill things with her mind. Even Marie Leveau (Angela Bassett) remarked that the coven had just acquired some real power when Zoe's move knocked Marie into next week from miles away.

Since her death, Madison has spent her time in the one of the creepiest and most disturbing ways possible as Spalding the butler (Denis O'Hare) has been having teatime with her. Oh, and her arm fell off in the last episode so, you know, there's that.
