It's been quite some time since anything new has dropped from the Backstreet Boys. After initially promoting their comeback album In A World Like This hard upon its release in July, the boy band has mostly been touring on an international scale, going on the annual BSB cruise and promoting on a more laidback scale. Now, however, they're back with a music video for their emotional second single "Show 'Em (What You're Made Of)," and things have gotten quite dramatic.

The visual for "Show 'Em (What You're Made Of)" is simple in both concept and execution. The five members of the Backstreet Boys (AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson) individually sing against a stark black background. McLean and Littrell remain shirtless throughout the clip, while the other three Backstreet Boys are rocking a variety of black T-shirts and tank tops.

The clip begins with a small fire ignited and a stark white song title, setting the stage for the video as a whole.

Co-written by Richardson and McLean for their children, in a Twitter announcement, BSB proclaimed that "Show 'Em" is "very personal and special," and that is reflected in the music video. Sometimes the most basic images are the most impactful, and Backstreet Boys proved that here.

Moreover, hardcore BSB fans will take not that Littrell is shirtless in the music video, which is a big step for the 38-year-old. In 1998, he underwent open heart surgery for a hole in his heart which left him with a sizable scar in his chest. Since then, he's been notably nervous about going without a shirt, but does so here truly showing fans what he's made of.
