One Direction won two awards at the 2014 BRITs last week, but during one acceptance speech Liam Payne revealed that the boys hadn't seen each other in about three months. This led to many believing that the band was breaking up! Probably in an attempt to stop the break up rumors, Payne and bandmate Harry Styles opened up about the break that the band took.

"We're not breaking up," Harry explained. "We've spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like. It's just holidays."

Liam backed up what Harry said before, explaining that all of the members kept in touch while taking a holiday from the band.

"We're not splitting up. We're on WhatsApp messaging each other all the time, talking about song ideas and just funny stuff from our day," Payne said. "I miss the boys but if you don't see your family you would go mad."

Meanwhile, Liam also included some exciting news about One Direction's follow up to Midnight Memories.

"We have been writing away for the next album and rehearsals are just about to start soon for the tour," he said.

So not only is One Direction not breaking up, the boy band is actually pretty busy with new music!

In fact, Niall Horan recently mentioned a big collaborator that could help out with the group's newxt record.

"We've been writing the new album at the minute, and hopefully we can get Pharrell, if Liam is willing," he said.

When asked about Pharrell, Liam said: "He is a friend of mine, that is as well as I can put it."

So no break up and plenty of new things one the horizon for One Direction!
