Christina Aguilera's new purple hair has been dubbed the "My Little Pony" treatment.  Her fresh new look comes at a time when new and exciting things are happening for the NBC's "The Voice" judge.  She has been busy recording a new album and has confirmed that her new single "Your Body" is expected to drop in September.

Additional rumors have it that the lead single will premiere on The Voice on September 10th and be available on iTunes that same day.

Aguilera is not a social media junkie revealing all the juicy details of her album via Twitter and Facebook the way Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga does it.  However, she does try to keep her fans posted on important events.

"Just wrapped up another great studio session- WOW- seriously can't WAIT for you guys to hear what I've been working on!!- Love u guys!!" gushed Aguilera to her Twitter followers.

The singer is more focused on creating good music that represents her true self and true art.

Aguilera didn't reveal too many details about the new album yet.  She did share with Rolling Stone some information on the progress, including her love for collaborations.

"I'm one that likes to collaborate," she said to Rolling Stone. "I love feeding off the creative energy, and it only makes me better."
