Little Mermaid's plastic surgery ad photo depicts Ariel going under the knife for a beauty transformation. A Venezuelan plastic surgery clinic named Clinica Dempere released the ad along with the tagline, "We make fairy tales come true." Other cartoons used for their promotion of their services include the Evil Witch and the Frog Prince.
Ariel had some major work done to her appearance. From her original sweet good girl look, Ariel was transformed to appear sexier with bigger boobs, sculpted cheeks, a sharper nose, fuller lips, and legs instead of a fin. It does not look very appealing. Some reports have referred to the transformation as "terrifying" and looking like "I've-had-too-much-plastic-surgery".
In the other ad, the ugly and old evil witch was transformed into a youthful looking beauty.
The ad also encouraged men to change their appearance depicting the ugly Frog Prince going under the knife and transforming into a hunky tanned male.
Do you think it's going too far to use young children's cartoon characters to encourage plastic surgery?
