Oh no, the sexy and talented Channing Tatum dead! FALSE! Along with Adam Sandler, the 32-year-old "Magic Mike" heartthrob was said to have passed away over the weekend from a terribly freak snowboarding accident - a report which is completely and utterly untrue. But unlike other popular death hoax trends which have popped up over the past few weeks, the Tatum rumors did not originate from a bogus Twitter post or Facebook page, but instead from an article which surfaced on the prankster news site Global Associated News.

Global Associated News is a hoax website that allows users to plug a celebrity name into a search engine which then generates a fake celebrity death headline. The post about Tatum's death is the SAME EXACT report connected to Sandler's fake demise. The headline seems to be updated on a daily basis, considering Tatum's death hoax rumor began to heavily circulate the web on Saturday, Sept. 8 (although if you look at the bogus article now, it claims the "Dear John" star died today, Sept. 10). Here's the sham excerpt:

"Actor Channing Tatum is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - September 10, 2012.

The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Channing Tatum lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.

Channing Tatum was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

After some fans began to post their dismay and shock over the young actor's sudden "demise," Tatum took to Twitter himself on Saturday posting:

@channingtatum: "On set in Montreal. Alive and well. :-)"

So not only does it look like the "21 Jump Street" star is alive and breathing, but fans will get the chance to see his good-looking self in an upcoming film sometime soon.

So please, witty trickers over at Global Associated News, you've had your fun, enough's enough.

Here are some fan reactions to the Tatum death hoax:

@immajedibabe: "Dear @channingtatum, I'm glad you're not dead. Sincerely, The female population."

@istayGEE: "The world's going to end because Channing Tatum is dead!"

‏@HuliBaaby: "Why would people believe that Channing tatum is dead? Wtf? Lol."

@MaMaMAYsee: "Channing tatum is right here next to me? Idk why everyone thinks he is dead???? My boo is alive."

@itsAllisonCasey: "channing tatum isnt dead please shut up now."
