Spunky, outspoken, 7-year-old beauty pageant queen-wannabe Alana Thompson and her crazy self-described "redneck" fam reached reality show stardom with the first season of TLC's hit "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." The show was such a popular success that the Thompson clan has signed on for a number of holiday special episodes, and are expected to get a pay increase for having cameras follow them around in their wild and hilarious "southern style" escapades.

While the first season finale of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" aired this week (to the dismay of some, to the utter joy of others), TLC announced that the Georgia-bred Thompson gang with get three holiday (well, HOLLAday) specials - for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Rumors have it that along with those added special episodes comes a pretty hefty pay increase.

While a TLC spokesperson said that the popular cable channel cannot comment on salaries, "Girlfriend Confidential: NY" reality star Marianna Garvery insists that a pay increase is basically a given: "Yes, they totally get a raise when more episodes are ordered. Usually a contract for reality stars is for two seasons but with blowout ratings, they have the upper hand. They will now get a huge raise."

Reports claim that the Thomson clan was originally paid $4,000 per-episode in the first season of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Now that salary will most likely more than double - rumors suggest that Alana and her entourage will receive $10,000 for each holiday special (and who knows what might happen if the ratings for those are through-the-roof - a full-out second season would most likely be in the works).

A Honey Boo Boo insider tells the Huffington Post, "There has never been any disputes about compensation. They are now making more than double what they originally made and are very happy about it. They don't have lawyers or greedy agents fighting to get them more, the network offered them a very generous amount and they were happy to accept."

Considering seven members make up the wildly entertaining Thompson family (including the newest addition - 17-year-old 'Chickadee's' three-thumbed daughter Kaitlyn), $10,000/episode might seem like a fair-enough payday... what do fans think?
