Israel Keys, a confessed serial killer was found dead in his jail cell Sunday in a alleged suicide. Keys confessed to kidnapping and killing 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, who was last seen at an espresso stand in Anchorage in February.
In addition to his confession he also added several more bodies and two bank robberies. Keys admitted to killing five more people as well as a Vermont couple, Bill and Lorraine Currier, in June 2011. Investigators suspect there may be more bodies than what Keys had admitted.

There has not been any details about the apparent suicide, but foul play has been ruled out according to a spokeswoman for the Alaska State Troopers. Keys had been arrested in Texas after he used Koenig debit card. The lost girl was searched by Anchorage residents found Koenig's body in an iced-over lake which was directed through Keys' confession. Keys admitted that he used a chainsaw to cut through the ice to dump the body.
Koenig was the only body that was discovered out of the admitted body count he said in his confession. The alleged serial killer was an Army veteran stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington state. Keys, 34 frequently moved around from state to state,having a property in Constable, New York. He later moved to Anchorage in 2007.
