It's a known fact that E.L. James, author of the hit erotica trilogy "Fifty Shades of Grey," is a huge "Twilight" fan... the handsome Christian Grey and his sexual sidekick Anastasia Steele are partially based off of the vampire lovebirds Edward Cullen and Bella Swan (played by real-life couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart). While several fans would hate to see a kinkier version of Edward and Bella appear in the highly anticipated film adoption of "Fifty Shades of Grey," many others believe that R-Patz and K-Stew would make the perfect Grey/Steele duo (given their obvious passion/chemistry portrayed both on and off screen). Even so, Pattinson and Stewart have since faded into the "Fifty Shades" casting background, shut-out by other major fan-favorites including Ian Somerhalder, Alexis Bledel, Matt Bomer, Emilia Clarke, Henry Cavill, and Lucy Hale. But recent reports of the couple shopping around in a sex store and purchasing several kinky toys has rekindled some "Fifty Shades" buzz. Are Pattinson and Stewart down for some (public) BDSM fun... and should James take notice of it?

Several eyewitnesses reveal that Pattinson and Stewart were recently spotted at a popular adult bookstore/sex shop in L.A... and they didn't even attempt to hide the fact that they were interested in pursuing some explicit, extracurricular bedroom fun!

One source shockingly confesses, "We were shocked to see Robert and Kristen just walking around. They didn't do anything to disguise themselves... They just walked in, browsed the shelves and filled a basket with loads of goodies. They didn't seem to care if anyone spotted them. They bought a range of stuff including sexy costumes, DVDs, a pair of handcuffs and blindfolds."

So what do fans think... are R-Patz and K-Stew taking some tips from Grey and Steele in order liven things up in the bedroom? Or maybe the duo decided to make such scandalous purchases merely to grab James' attention and stir some "Fifty Shades" buzz (if so, it appears to be working!). Rumors have it that the couple is looking to star in another hit film together since the "Twilight" series has officially come to an end...

Although producers are still nowhere near making final casting decisions for "Fifty Shades," several reports confirm that James is not interested in casting Pattinson or Stewart for the lead roles (she may be a fan of "Twilight," but that doesn't mean she's trying to make another film saga based on Edward and Bella). So what do Mstarz readers think... were the duo really spotted excitedly shopping around a sex store (therefore publicizing their interest in pursuing the roles of Grey and Steele)?
