Reports confirm that Wendy Crowell, a 37-year-old mom from Grand Junction, Colorado, was recently accused of seducing and then having sex with her 15-year-old son's underage best friend. The alleged affair started back in May-June 2012 when the boys were having a sleepover - Crowell flirtatiously told the young boy that he could just "pretend to be 18 for the night." The illegal summer sex fling continued on for three weeks. Crowell was recently arrested after the unnamed teenager's mom found suspicious text messages from his best friend's mom on his phone. Crowell currently faces seven criminal charges, including six felonies related to sexual assault on a child/minor.

Crowell, who was married when the affair began, allegedly "seduced" the boy (15 or 16-years-old) while he was spending the night for a friendly sleepover with her son. According to the court affidavit, the two subsequently had sex five times in three weeks - two of those times while parked in Crowell's car.
The boy's mother recently grew suspicious of Crowell's seedy behavior around her teenage son, and strongly suspected that the two were involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship. After checking the boy's phone, she discovered over 20 flirtatious and suggestive text messages from Crowell. She quickly alerted the police.
In Crowell's defense, the real-life "Mrs. Robinson" told police detectives that she texts all of her son's friends.
Because the two boys were best friends, Crowell and the other mother grew to know each other well. The mother of the victim would often leave her son with Crowell while she went out to search for jobs. Crowell would often take the boys off on small trips, including rafting.
The unidentified mother first alerted authorities about her suspicions in June - Crowell was brought in for initial questioning on the 26th of that month. DNA samples were taken and her phone was examined. Investigators allegedly found enough evidence to prove that the boy and Crowell engaged in sexual acts between May 20 - June 20 of 2012.
Although the teenage boy claims that no force was involved and that the sex was consensual, Crowell was eventually booked into custody at the Mesa County Jail with bond set at $10,000. The boy agrees that Crowell could very well have been taking advantage of their age disparity.
Crowell is next due in court March 14.
