It seems as though new music from U2 is well on the horizon. The legendary rockers are reportedly preparing a new release for April 2014, with a Super Bowl commercial in the works to make the official announcement.
It's here, y'all. The first studio track from Against Me! in three years and the first since lead singer Laura Jane Grace began living life as a woman. "Fuckmylife666" is a rollicking track that toes the line between punk and country (a sound anyone whose followed the Florida band is well aware of) and gives a firsthand account of Laura's transistion.
While a bit morbid, this playlist that was curated from Lou Reed's Spotify activity before his death last month proves that even at 71 Reed oozed cool. The Velvet Underground guitarist's final listens included Fucked Up, King Khan & BBQ Show, Of Montreal, Deerhoof and Nicki Minaj (as well as classics by Prince, Roy Orbison, Tom Waits and Miles Davis).
Daft Punk is the latest group to get photographed by sleazeball Polaroid photographer Terry Richardshon. Don't worry, this doesn't mean we have to see the Random Access Memories creators' bits and pieces. The robots behind the smash hit "Get Lucky" kept their clothes (and helmets) on, except for when they let Richardson don the iconic headgear himself. Check out the photos below:
Suddenly resurgent dance music icon Nile Rodgers decided to open himself up to fans of his decades-spanning career via an amazing Ask Me Anything session on Reddit. The Chic guitarist and disco producer opened up the floor for questions after dropping a few nuggets about his music career like the fact that "Le Freak" is the most successful single in Atlantic Records history (or that, all told, through playing, performing, writing and producing, Rodgers has sold 223 million records worldwide).

The controversial noise-rap group drew the ire of fans for no-showing at their Lollapalooza set and then canceling their entire tour just before a gig at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin. Hopefully all will be forgiven with the totally free/unexpected release of their new album Government Plates. Read More >
Earlier this year, Elvis Costello & The Roots teamed up for an album that is as awesome as "an album from Elvis Costello & The Roots" sounds called Wise Up Ghost In spite of all their in-studio greatness, Elvis and The Greatest House Band In The Multiverse still had to get some practice in before performing the tracks live at the Brooklyn Bowl for a record release show in September. Typically, rockers are described as down-to-earth bunches of dudes while teeny-boppers tend to come off as nasty little sh*ts. However, the roles are decidedly reversed when you're discussing Kings Of Leon (a whiny bunch of hissy-fit throwers) with One Direction (who genuinely seem like a good group of young men, especially when they had this idea). Atlanta. Georgia's Dog Bite have just released "Dream Feast", the perfect soundtrack to this chilly day in the States (hell, it's even cold in my current locale of NE Florida) and a nice antidote if that Blondes video put you in a bad place. Read More >
I know it's Wednesday and most of you guys are at work, so you may want to file this new video from Blondes away until you are comfortably at home with your substance of choice. The clip for the dance duo's track "Andrew" is one long headtrip of shifting proto-Terminator CGI and flashing lights. Read More >
